Faculty Position in AI-Driven Musculoskeletal Research Yale University School of Medicine - Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation 

The Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation at Yale University School of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position (Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in the tenure track for candidates with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and a strong interest in musculoskeletal (MSK) research and/or orthopedic surgery. Applicants must hold a PhD and/or MD (or equivalent degree) and demonstrate outstanding qualifications in research and education. 

Areas of Interest Include: 

·       Artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in musculoskeletal medicine and orthopedic surgery 

·       Biomedical data science and modeling relevant to MSK health 

·       Image analysis and computer vision for orthopedic imaging 

·       Clinical informatics and outcomes research in orthopedics 

·       Precision medicine and personalized approaches to MSK disorders 

·       Biomechanical modeling, simulation, and computational orthopedics 

·       Integration of AI with electronic medical records and surgical workflows 

Responsibilities: 

·       Establish and maintain a vigorous, independently funded research program in AI-driven musculoskeletal science 

·       Collaborate with clinical and research faculty in orthopedics, engineering, and data science 

·       Supervise and mentor students, residents, and fellows from diverse backgrounds 

·       Contribute to the educational missions of the department and Yale School of Medicine 

·       Foster an environment of collaboration, innovation, and scientific discovery
