Named for the late civil rights leader, Medgar Wiley Evers (1925-1963), the College's mission is to develop and maintain high-quality, professional, career-oriented undergraduate degree programs in the context of liberal education. Located in Central Brooklyn, MEC was established in 1970 with a mandate to meet the educational and social needs of the Central Brooklyn community, currently enrolling 7,000 students in degree programs. Students represent 105 countries around the world! MEC students obtain Associate degrees in 8 fields and Baccalaureate degrees in 18 fields. They are instructed by over 208 Full-time dedicated faculty members who must maintain a portfolio of scholarship and research. To meet the needs of its students, the College offers courses and programs at various times, is growing its online program offerings, and in offsite locations. The College is committed to a student-centered education and advancing knowledge through scholarly research. Working under the direction of the Communications Director, the Communications Broadcast & Multimedia Production Coordinator will assist in designing and producing an extensive variety of print materials, web-based communications, and promotional items for the College. Projects include advertisements, brochures, reports, event invitations, flyers, programs, banners, photo displays, stationery, posters, and other materials. The Coordinator will support the department???s efforts in ensuring that the College???s brand and design standards are met on these projects, including appropriate application of the Medgar Evers College/CUNY identities. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the typical duties will include: -Works closely with editorial staff on design and production of events-related material, bulletins, brochures, posters, and newsletters -Assist in the coordination of the digital and visual communications to support and advance the College's multimedia presence. -Coordinating production activities with internal and external personnel. -Designs and edits content for internal and external stakeholders -Research new and emerging developments in electronic communications that can be used to -increase visibility, and enhance better communication internally and externally. -May assist with photography for campus events, as needed.
