Job Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this full-time, year-round position involves primarily recruiting transfer students, both domestic and international, reviewing applications, interviewing students, and providing hospitality to students and their families. The position will require extensive recruitment and travel. This candidate will participate in recruitment events on and off campus and work on related projects. The candidate will achieve assigned individual and team goals. The candidate must possess a valid driver's license. This position requires weekend and evening work and extensive travel.


Essential Functions:

• Enthusiastically and proactively recruit, counsel, and assist prospective domestic and international transfer students (via e-mail, phone, online, information sessions/open houses, walk-ins, scheduled appointments, and/or other recruiting events) through the college admissions process.
• Execute recruitment efforts for both transfer and first-year students.
• Build and/or maintain Fall and Spring transfer travel schedules.
• Travel and represent the institution at college fairs, community-based organizations, and community college events.
• Create and host transfer specific on-campus recruitment events.
• Work with the director of admissions to establish transfer specific recruitment collateral.
• Communicate with prospective students and parents.
• Conduct on and off-campus information sessions and on-the-spot appointments.
• Read and evaluate admissions applications for all transfer students.
• Manage the follow-up for application completion, admission decision, scholarship award, and FAFSA completion.
• Collaborate with office leadership to offer suggestions to enhance recruitment efforts.
• Work independently while representing the college both on and off campus.
• Work closely with the registrars office to maintain quick delivery of transfer credit evaluations.
• Assist office leadership with the planning of recruitment-related events.
• Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, belonging and inclusion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to drive a car with a valid drivers license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize, work well under pressure, multitask, pay attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
• Availability to travel freely domestically.

Education:
A Bachelors degree is required. Masters degree preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Experience in higher education, admissions, and or recruitment preferred.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced office.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
Regular Business Hours - M-F 8:30-4:30
Evening and Weekend work is required as determined by office leadership.

Full-time employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-time employees can earn between 18-23 paid time off a year. The employer covers tuition remission after 90 days of employment and covers 100 % (employees responsible for books and technology fees). The college is committed to work-life balance and has a summer schedule from June through August. We currently have 14 paid holidays, including a winter break. You will have the opportunity to participate in our retirement plan from day one, and after one year of employment, the college contributes depending on your service years.
