It also collaborates with other units of CUNY to offer a range of college-credit programs designed to give workers the academic and technical skills they need for professional advancement. Its faculty includes distinguished scholars in the social sciences as well as expert practitioners in government, labor, and public service. CUNY SLU seeks its inaugural Director for Human Resources. Reporting to the Dean or his executive designee, the director will be a trusted strategic partner executing proactive and mission-driven HR. By providing innovative solutions and exceptional service, the director will ensure the college is able to attract & retain a diverse and interactional workforce. The successful candidate will administer all workforce matters pertaining to SLU???s talent management, employee and labor relations, benefits administration, time and leave management, HRIS, employee communication, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, Board of Trustee By-Laws, CUNY personnel rules and regulations, and pertinent collective bargaining agreements. If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366th day. Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period. An employee who needs to request an exemption from the required enrollment in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan can do so by submitting a HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form to Emblem Health. An employee, or eligible dependent, must meet certain criteria and the request must be approved by Emblem Health before the exemption is granted.
