General Description: The Department of Applied Mathematics at Illinois Institute of Technology invites applications for a full-time 1-year (potentially renewable to 2 years) postdoc position in data science, beginning April 2023. Reappointment in this position for the second calendar year will be subject to the performance and a continuing need for the position.The successful candidate will join a NASA funded project working with Caltech Jet Propulsion Lab to detect wildfires from satellite date using topological data analysis (TDA) and machine learning under the direct supervision of Professor Matthew Dixon.
