• Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field of study.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible related work experience
• Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot systems using test equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
• Experience with power electronics and feedback control systems
• Must be self-motivated, able to work under minimum supervision and be available for off-hours call-ins' as required
• Ability to work and learn details about various topologies of power electronics and associated feedback control systems
• Clear and concise written and oral communications skills
• Must be able to support a team with diverse skills and talents during all phases of operations, new construction, testing, repair, and upgrade of existing or new power supplies

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• A master's degree in electrical engineering with emphasis in power electronics
• Experience with programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

• Ability to carry weights up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights and climb a ladder
• Ability to walk along sloped terrain and uneven surfaces
• May stand for long periods of time
• Oxygen Deficiency Hazard class 0 training certified
• Radiation worker training
• Lockout Tagout training
• Take all necessary training to perform work safely

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Requires a valid Driver's License
• This is a fully on-site position located at BNL
