FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Business at Kingsborough Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in the Business of Fashion including styling, fashion marketing, retail practices, trend forecasting, product development, brand building, salesmanship, collection design and other areas of Fashion Industry business practices.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

Vaccine Requirement:

Candidates will be required to provide prooof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment. All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to their campus.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Fashion Industry Business practices, Marketing, Fashion, Retailing, Design Concepts and Production Development. College level teaching experience, industry experience and experience using educational technology.

For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

For Adjunct Lecturer:

Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.

COMPENSATION

Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 - $98.40 per hour

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 - $106.41 per hour

Adjunct Associate Professor: $108.33 - $118.45 per hour

Adjunct Professor: $ $112.50 - $130.49 per hour

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
