Division/Department Information The Department of Administrative and Instructional Leadership (DAIL) in The School of Education at St. John's University invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a primary focus on teaching, scholarship, and service in the fields of educational and instructional leadership. Duties associated with this position include: 1) teaching graduate courses across DAIL programs, 2) advising and mentoring doctoral students, 3) engaging in research, scholarly writing, and grant work, and 4) serving on program, department, school, and university committees, when appropriate. Faculty are expected to teach at all NY locations and online. Qualifications Ideal applicants will have earned doctoral degree in educational leadership or a related field and have expertise in quantitative research methodologies. They will have evidence of a clear research agenda, demonstrated record of scholarship and experience of teaching at the graduate level. They will be able to teach basic and advanced statistical analyses using SPSS or R. Dissertation mentoring experience is preferred. Applicants should have a research agenda that relates to K-12 education or higher education with a preferred expertise in survey design and in using national and international data sets for statistical analyses. Candidates will have a proven track-record of research with peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. The successful candidate will be able to teach graduate courses via in-person, online, and hybrid settings and utilize technology as an educational tool.
