Position Summary

The Clinical Research Coordinator will provide support for research activities in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolic Bone Diseases Unit.  The Coordinator will assist with the implementation and coordination of NIH and pharmaceutical clinical research studies/trials.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the coordination and implementation of NIH and pharmaceutical clinical research studies/trials
• Obtain informed consent and protocol-assigned historical information from study subjects
• Participate in patient education and follow up, as needed, with study subjects
• Responsible for collection of research samples as required
• Assure compliance with study protocol and maintain case report forms
• Perform data entry and assist with data management for export and statistical analysis
• Interact with the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
• Assist in developing scheduled reports to the IRB and collaborating sites
• Performs additional related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor???s degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills including Word & Excel
• Must be detail oriented with ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Certification
• Previous experience in the administration of clinical research

Other Requirements

• Participation in the medical surveillance program
• Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
• Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
• Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
