The department of Allied Health Sciences invites applications foran Assistant, Associate or Full Professor position starting Fall 2022. This position is a tenure track position in the fully accredited Health Information Technology Program. The successful candidate will teach a full range of Health Information Technology courses, participate in departmental and institutional functions, including department meetings and committee work.In addition, the new hire faculty will assist the Chairperson in these responsibilities: " Manage Health Information Technology curricula, including student academic requirements, course descriptions and objectives " Implementation of CAHIIM 2018 Health Information Management (HIM) Curricula Competencies " Completion of annual program assessment report (APAR) " Coordination of professional practice experiences (PPEs) including contract processing " Continually employs assessment techniques to determine currency of course material and student's comprehension of material presented " Maintains Health Information Technology Program and student records, grades and other records according to department and College guidelines and submits them in a timely manner " Serves as liaison between HIT programs and the community, including graduates, employers, clinical affiliates, field professionals, and educational institutions " Attends marketing and recruitment activities for HIT program " Assists department with student recruitment, enrollment, placement, retention and completion initiatives including early alert initiatives " Develops innovative teaching pedagogy to facilitate learning and Actively engages in pedagogical and academic discipline professional development " Assists in the development of grant proposals and implementation of grant projects " Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the department chair QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the Health Information field
Preferred Qualifications:
