The Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University invites applications for full-time Lecturers in Discipline to start Fall 2022. Incumbents will teach multiple sections of the introductory biology lab that is taken by both biology majors and pre-medical students. There will also be opportunities to contribute to the evolution and leadership of the undergraduate program in biology.


 

Minimum Degree Required: Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or similar field

Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of all PhD requirements by June 30, 2022; post-doctoral research experience.
Candidates should have a strong appreciation for evidence-based deductions, quantitative analyses and molecular mechanisms. Candidates should also have the ambition to promote curiosity, encourage independent thinking and challenge a talented pool of students to think logically and rigorously.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience preferred.
