Responsibilities:

• Support the grant-funded NPCC project related to additional research requested by the Mayor's Office on Sustainability and Environmental Justice. Assist in the preparation of meeting notes, agendas, presentations and progress reports. Maintain consistent communication with all team members across partner universities working on specific tasks related to this project
• Support logistical duties related to the NPCC project including scheduling meetings with partner teams across universities and maintaining clear project timelines and communications; assist in the facilitation of community-based stakeholder engagement
• Provide general day-to-day management on specific tasks related to special initiatives undertaken at the Tishman Center and in support of our Co-Director, Joel Towers, through the regular coordination, communications, and tracking of work products, benchmarks, and outcomes
• Communicate regularly with team members on strategic decision making necessary to keep each project on track and within budget; track and report on project deliverables and timeline
• Prepare grant reports and updates, including visual and narrative summary of performance benchmarks and powerpoint slide presentations for team meetings and meetings with funders and external partners
• Support scheduling and travel support for team members
• Other tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Program management experience, and ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Experience managing internal and external teams
• 3-5 years experience in environmental science, environmental justice, community development, urban studies, social movements, or leadership development OR master's degree in a related field
• Knowledge of or experience working in the environmental justice movement or other social justice movement
• Design and Technical skills: Adobe Creative Cloud, Publisher, Process and program design
• Proficient in QGIS or similar software a plus
• Ability to manage up and across programs leads to accomplish goals and land deadlines
• Able to stay on top of multiple projects, plans backwards, anticipates obstacles, identifies and involves stakeholders appropriately, uses resources wisely
• Ability to adhere to University COVID-19 policy and requirements
