FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Biology at the City College of New York (CCNY), the flagship campus of the City University of New York (CUNY), invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to commence in Fall 2020. We are seeking candidates who will develop a strong, externally funded research program addressing fundamental problems in molecular cell biology of any organism; candidates studying microbial systems in areas such as host-pathogen interactions, antibiotic resistance, or biofilm formation are especially encouraged to apply.
The new faculty member will be expected to establish a vibrant research group with the potential for collaborations with existing areas of scientific strength. The candidate will also be expected to develop a strong teaching portfolio at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and participate in service related activities for the betterment of the institution.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline and significant postdoctoral experience with an excellent record of research productivity. Exceptional candidates, with an established track record of external funding and scholarship at the highest levels, may be considered for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor levels.

We also provide mentoring and support for research, scholarship, and publication as part of our commitment to ongoing faculty professional development.
