The Poulsen lab is part of the Department of Neurosurgery in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (JSMBS). We are located in the Clinical Translational Research Center (CTRC) on the downtown medical campus.
Our laboratory is focused on the development of therapeutic applications for the treatment of stroke, TBI and post-traumatic epilepsy. We are currently seeking applicants with experience in lab animal care. The successful applicant will participate in rat surgeries, behavioral assessments, cognitive assessments and general animal care. They will be responsible for placing animal orders, assisting the lab manager in maintaining adequate inventory supplies, assist in data analysis as well as writing research reports, publications and grant applications.
Experience with animal research.
Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences related major and/or Master’s degree in Neuroscience with experience in animal research.
